Logo Creation: Mistakes and Solutions Designers Make

Creative and meaningful logos attract viewer's attention positively even on the first time they see a corporate logo. An attractive design distinguishes companies from one another by the way it promotes its company with the use of its logo. However, most of the time clients and even designers overlook the importance of creating a good logo just to finish a project--end of conversation. As a designer creating a personal brand and identity for an important client, you must always look forward on producing good logos and not just a finished product. Every project is significant in your creative career as you relate your work to your client’s needs. Moreover, there are many negative characteristics designers have when loads of projects come barging in. Here are some common undesirable attitudes designer encounters when creating logos. The Lazy:  One of the most common attitudes of designers that can reflect logo making is setting aside research; following own set of rules and desi

The experience of sensory overload

Image
The National Autistic Society has a  section of their website  dedicated to sensory overload, which is great because it means that this lesser-known part of being an autistic person in an allistic world is having attention paid to it. Here, I am going to talk about how sensory overload manifests itself for me personally. Hopefully some of it will be relatable to you. 1. Irritability Hooo boy. This, for me, is one of the first signs that I am getting overwhelmed. It doesn’t always come across as outward snappishness, though – I am generally very slow to anger and more often than not, it takes the form of silently fantasising about the person’s demise because they are chewing too loudly or similar (Google misophonia – it’s a thing). 2. Increased stimming Specifically, I start flapping my hands more. While I was being tested for autism my friend, who was there for moral support and to add his own observations to the assessment process, said that one time at a busy train station I

Handling Project Management software Program – Who Is Managing Who?

Complexity is currently constructed-in with any regular company project. Duties should be arranged and assigned, communication must be established and everybody must be on the same web page, the customer must be involved, and so on. When your project management instrument doesn’t get rid of this complexity it is not assisting. I know what you are considering, “My venture management plan will save me time.” And maybe it does, but more likely it has price dozens of man-hours for all of your workers to learn how to use it. This time expense is tough to recover. Yes, there are outside elements that you have no control of and they can stop you from succeeding at 1 enterprise, the economic climate and the recession, but it cannot be an justification! There are not excuses as lengthy as there are lessons learned. I tried x, but y crated an impediment and I discovered z. Example: Joe is forty five years old, happily married heading on 18 many years, has a son & daughter, functions

Leonardo da Vinci in the heart of a dispute between France and Italy

The Italian secretary of state for culture sparked a controversy after questioning the loan of De Vinci's works at the Louvre, to celebrate the 500th anniversary of his death. The artist, who died in France, was above all Italian, rebels. The tensions have already raged for several months between French President Emmanuel Macron and Italian Prime Minister Matteo Salvini, in particular for Europe and migrants. The exit of the Italian secretary of state for culture further aggravates relations between the two countries. In the pages of Corriere della Sera, November 17, Lucia Borgonzoni, a member of the far-right League Party, questioned a loan agreement signed between Italy and the Louvre. Rome was still involved in the availability of Leonardo da Vinci's paintings, on the occasion of an exhibition at the Louvre Museum in 2019, for the 500   years of the artist's death. Lucia Borgonzoni now believes that the terms of this agreement are "inconceivable". "

RIDM 2018 Review: Teta, Opi & Me

Image
Tawfiq Abu Aitah (Opi), left, and Gerlinde Abu Aitah (Teta) are the grandparents of filmmaker Tara Hakim. The short documentary Teta, Opi & Me celebrates love, resilience and craziness – the good craziness, that’s warm, positive and spontaneous – not that OTHER kind of craziness that we see so often these days. Teta and Opi are Gerlinde Abu Aitah and Tawfiq Abu Aitah, the grandmother and grandfather of filmmaker Tara Hakim. Tawfiq, an Arab from Bethlehem, was studying in Austria when they met at a dance in Vienna in 1959. (Rock’n’roll! The twist!) Tawfiq noticed Gerlinde right away. (“I saw you dancing like a crazy one!”) He wanted to dance with this wild and crazy woman. Luckily for him, she wanted to dance with him, too. Despite the many obstacles thrown their way, it seems that they have rarely been apart since then. Teta’s mother and grandmother liked Opi; Teta’s father was kept in the dark as long as possible. He was a man who had framed his daughter’s 1942 birth ce

My 8 Favorite Cruelty-Free Makeup Brands Compiled

Image
In case you hadn’t already noticed, I’m an avid lover of makeup and beauty products. I also happen to be a lover of animals, so I always prioritize purchasing cruelty-free (and if possible) vegan makeup items. Did you know the FDA does not regulate cruelty-free labeling, so any company can essentially lie about it? I, too, was shook to discover this. Although proper research can be difficult to navigate at first, it’s not impossible to find high-quality cruelty-free brands at a reasonable price. In fact, you’d be surprised how many of them line the shelves of stores such as Ulta and Sephora. My point here is, there really isn’t an excuse not to buy cruelty-free makeup if you live in the United States. Even drugstore brands like E.L.F fall under the cruelty-free category. Another thing to keep in mind is the sad truth that any brand selling to China is required  by law  to test on animals. That means brands such as Nars, Maybelline, and Estee Lauder are unfortunately not as ethi

In Social Circles

IN SOCIAL CIRCLES Outlook for Poor Children is Bleak This Christmas. What with the appearance of Christmas trees on the city’s streets and the Yuletide spirit beginning to manifest itself, the small boys and girls are beginning to wonder as to the part they will play in the coming festivities. With the ban on Sunday schools and public schools chances for remembrances from these sources are considered rather slim. Time was, at this season of the year, when the average small boy and girl was eagerly casting about for some suitable Sunday school to join. A vision of Santa Claus bearing gifts was the impelling motive for this annual outburst of religion. In many of the city schools, the teachers signified their good will at this time of the year, by gifts of candy and other goodies. This year the outlook is bleak. For the past six years the west side has appointed a committee of women to superintend the giving of gifts to the poor children of the city. The Salvation Army and Social

The Demon from Hereditary Moved into My House & as Far as Roommates Go, He’s Not So Bad

Image
Okay y’all, if you haven’t seen Hereditary yet, don’t. Seriously. It will mess with your mind for weeks. I have been plagued by this movie, whose horrifying images have worked their way into my brain like a worm in a rotten apple. My mind is actually turning into gelatinous mush because of that movie. If you have, cool! You’ll understand what’s going on in my house. But don’t worry, there’s no piano strings in this story. Actually, the demon from Hereditary is a pretty normal dude and we have a lot in common! So, quick backstory, basically I was so terrified by Hereditary that I thought about it non-stop for a month and accidentally summoned the demon to my place. Not exactly a desired house guest, but I figured there wasn’t much I could do about it and he’s been crashing here for almost a week now. At first he kept scaring the shit out of me by floating in random corners. After a few unnecessary frights, I finally worked up the courage to ask him, “What’s the deal dude?” And he

Is R.J Real?

Image
First, before you read this theory, I want you to know I crafted it respecting the confirmation of Angela Kang and Dani Gurira on Talking Dead. We’ve been lied to like this before, a first example would be the official trailer for season 5. Which tells us that Terminus is going to help Ricks group and head to Washington. Another example would be Glenn’s first death. His name is removed from the opening credits, as well as various confirmations in interviews. As it later revealed he was hidden under the dumpster. Michonne (Danai Gurira) was fantastic in the latest episode of The Walking Dead. We see her grieving still after 6 years without Rick, or Carl. And that obviously sends out alarm bells ringing to do with her mental state. Is it possible that she could be experiencing hallucinations? Just like Rick (Andrew Lincoln) was? Towards the end of the episode, we’re shown Michonne enjoying normal life within her home she, Rick, Carl and Judith originally lived in. As she is spied
