A good Samaritan found $27,000 outside a credit union and turned it in. Imagine you found thousands of dollars on the ground. Would you keep any of the money?

Outside a credit union or bank? Probably turn it in as painful as it would be.
Anywhere else? Keeping it. (Let’s face it, if you find that much cash randomly it was probably for a drug drop)
If I found 25000 I'm sure I would return it. It would be a shame if that 20000 didnt make it back to its owner. I think the honorable thingnwould be to return the 10000. Thank goodness this young man found it and returned. I too would return the 5000
You never know until you are faced with the decision of what you value more a clear conscience or money.
$27,000 outside of a Bank? Nope I’m keeping that Banks been robbing us for decades
Good deeds are habits as well as a usual way of life for someone who is pure in heart and deeds like this may attract applause or adulation from men but from God, it attracts lots of immeasurable blessings.
Right outside the bank... I would turn it in. Now the people that found it in a safe they bought from the thirft store.... Ummm now that's minessss.. I bought it! lol
Hey you never know when John Quinones is gonna jump out with a microphone and a camera crew.
It’s nice To see a man with integrity in a world that is upside down.
Sorry, I would not. Banks steal enough money from us. $27,000 would be a nice start to repayment.
Unless it had a name and identification inside I most likely would’ve kept it.
Anyone else think if the tag said 40k and he returned 27... maybe he kept 13? Just a thought
I'd turn it in, not only because it's the right thing, but because you can't just deposit that much with no explanation. The IRS is going to find it fishy or something. It'll come out eventually. Plus, if you turn it in, karma's bound to get you some modest reward for it. At the very least you know you did the right thing, and you're likely to get some cash in thanks.
At a bank no, at or in a store no, on the side of the road without a deposited slip or some form of ownership maybe, in a couch cushion in an ally definately. It really depends.
Heres a $20 gift card to Applebees as your reward! ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚
The outside of a credit union is blanketed with high definition surveillance cameras. Smart move to turn the money in. Best to be broke than sojourn in prison in the company of thugs and murderers alike.
Anything up to $10 I won't bother to track down the owner as long as it's not blindingly obvious either who it belongs to or how to return it. Like $5 on the floor next to a check out. I'd hand it to an employee. Blowing in a parking lot, nah.

$10-20 …See More
I would turn it in to the police, and maybe for my honesty, it won't be claimed and I would end up with it.
Found €50,000 in the pub, handed it over, owner got it back n bought me a drink. He had just been to the mart selling his sheep
I would have turned it in ,it wasnt mine
I believe no one should take what ain't theirs, i would give back the money if i found it. It could be for someone probably going to pay medical bills for some surgery or operation which would save a life. Imagine the blessings i would get from the almighty๐Ÿค” would be more worth than the money.
Depends where u find it other wise it's bad luck to profit from someone else's misfortune
I would have called the police and let them deal with it. If the guy had been walking away with the money when the armed guards showed up, he could have been charged with grand larceny, and nobody would have believed that he was heading to the bank to return it.
Of course I would turn it over. The guilt of keeping it would eat away at my heart.
That worker that left the 27k I am guessing got in a LOT of trouble! Haha
If a person dropped $5 in front of you at the gas station, would you give it back to them? Quantity doesn’t matter, do the right thing.
the right thing is to turn it in , its someones money not ours and it could devastate someone to have to pay it back , i sure glade that he turned it in , god bless him.
Your blessings come un expected, I found it , I didn steal it.dont miss your blessings when the are right in front in front of you
I remember when I was a kid I found over $300 outside during recess, I turned it in to my teacher and I got hauled into the office and they questioned me and treated me like I had stolen it.
I would certainly turn in that 20,000$! No questions!
Well suffice to say the Armored car guy is likely out of a job. Anyone who kept it would have been forced to return it. I would have returned it because common sense would have told me it belonged to the bank and would not have been legally mine anyway.
I ain’t giving nothing back. I’m going to buy me a 1998 Ford Explorer five speed and ball out with the rest of my money. Oh some rims, gold teeth, stereo system
In front of a bank? Of course I'd turn it in. Side street, not a chance! ๐Ÿคฃ
I found over $200 outside one of my favourite restaurants. I gave it to the owner in case the person who lost it came back. When I was visiting the restaurant a month later, the owner said no one came for the money so we split it.
I would think very very hard but I would return it making sure I returned to the right person.
Yes I would turn it in. I do things like that all the time. Get to the car and something in my cart I forgot to pay for? Right back in to pay. I found jewelry turned it in, found a phone turned it in.
They would got back 6,456.74. I would have turned that much in proudly!! And why that number? Do some math, and you’ll find the answer!
Outside a bank with cameras, they could easily identify you.
All the cameras in the vicinity might have helped too.
I'm holding it for a month if no knocks on my door by the fuzz.. its mine ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜
My parents raised me to have self respect and a good set of morales, the money wasn’t mine so I would turn it. Don’t think any amount of “found” money would be worth looking over my shoulder all the time
I bet you $13456324567 dollars you didn't read that number. You just skipped right over it. You didn't even realize I put a letter in it. No I didn't but you went back and looked. I want my like!!
Absolutely incredible! So proud of these good honest souls. So unbelievable
I would keep it give 10% to the church!!! Because only god would bless me with that money
He was also on camera and they would have caught him so sure he had to have known that.
Of course I’d turn it in without a second thought. It’s called having morals.

Go ahead, start calling me names now...
I would 100% turn it in. No way I could keep it
Anyone thinking of Mr. Potter in "It's a Wonderful Life" here?
He has an amazing blessing ahead of him.
If I was really in need of money I would have kept it 27,000 can pay off my bills
there are cameras everywhere so this person would eventually get caught
Would the Credit Union have the numbers on those bills attached to a customer's name?
Yes I'd give the money back, my conscience wouldn't let me rest in not a thief
If theres no camera then its mine, at one time i would have turned it in but im destitute now and could use it before i lose my house!
That's to much, givevit back, not like 50 or 100 dollars
I bet he found $29,000 outside of a credit union and turned $27,000 of it in.
Yes I definitely would,, someone can bay for it ,, it’s not fair to keep it
A friend of mine found 20 dollars at the airport gave it to the police officer .She got scared that the cameras were watching her ๐Ÿค“๐Ÿค“๐Ÿค”smh I said Lord help her cause I'm the total opposite
Yes after a $2000.00 finders fee!
I found a blue sapphire and gold bracelet outside a jewelry store and turned it into the store. I figured someone dropped it. I always wondered though if the store tried to get it to the right person.
I would be setting at somebody's dealership right now!
Not in today's world. Gave found money, wallets etc back for years.not even a thank you
You can't keep money you find. It's a crime. Larceny by find or theft by find.
Well I would turn it in but I’m sure I would cry the whole time but it’s not my money and the probably have a camera so they could see who took it
I'd keep it all and none of you would ever know
What is going on with people?!!! They drop, hide and forget money..just like that. They dont wante? I want it!
Everyone here are just saying I will turn it in but deep down some of y'all won't turn it in.
This would definitely be my dumb self.I despise my honesty.Im mad at me for even thinking about agreeing with him.
I found $1.00 outside a credit union and never returned it in.
It’s not your money so of course you should turn it in. Only people with no integrity, which is the majority of people, would take what is not theirs. Theft is theft!
Would turn it in ONLY because there's cameras everywhere.
at the end of the day that money could belong to someone who has nothing at all.... however I would not turn it in to anyone but the owner I trust to give it to no one
What he did not know is that if you turn it over to the police, and no one claims it in 30 days.....it's yours to keep.
with all the cameras around, absolutely turn it in
Probably he left few days to meet Jesus so he abstained himself to keep promiss.
Yes i would turned it in. Its not my money. Karma will get you if you keep it. Someones life savings.
I remember when someone wrongly sent some into my phone. Do you know what I did? I phoned the person who admitted that she had done it by mistake and then I sent the money back to the owner. Let's be people of integrity in any situation!!!!!
Saw a news story where a guy bought an old couch from a thrift store everytime he sat on it there was a lump in the cushion the guy found 43,000 dollars i believe stuffed in it, unlike most he returned to the store and tracked down the owner gave it back to the family of the original owner of the couch because it belonged to their father who died.
With my high level of integrity, I will return it to the owner as I believe that I can't succeed in life with things that don't belong to me. For others this might sound strange but that's how I think.
Never would happen to an honest person like me. Cameras are everywhere do you have no choice but to give it back.
of course who knows where that money came from.
The funny thing is if the owner doesn't claim it it will remain in the hands of the bank in another word in the hands of just another rich man.
I would have returned the $25,000 too.
What money? ๐Ÿ˜
In this case no. Not likely. Cameras. Lol
With the cameras mmmmh! You have to return lol. Without the Cameras I will keep the cash for a month then call it a blessing in disguise ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚
Why can't finding it be karma?
Probably was 30000 and returned only 27000
If i see just money with no info on it. I'll see it as the Lord's blessing, and it's mine๐Ÿ‘
I'd sorta like to know what they're gonna give me as a reward prior to handing it back to them...J/K. Mostly.
Would turn it in to law enforcement after marking down all serial numbers, and getting a receipt for the amount and denominations I was turning in.
I would keep All of it. It’s a sign from God! ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚
Am glad down here in America, there are scores of honest people.... Although, a cross section of people, could've kept it, thank their stars as"Gift from Above "
I will keep it to myself and never tell anyone
My dad left his phone in a bank, and it was still there when he went back. My mom left her purse in a bus, and it was given to the driver. Some people are just good, others are not.
Honestly, these days you never know who that money belongs to and who is watching. I would've walked right passed that money and kept it pushing. I can make my own $27k
Finally, someone with a moral compass!!!
Of course you can't keep it. It isn't yours!!
I think the fear of being seen on a CCTV plays a role. If you find a box of money in a dumpster in the middle of nowhere where you are 100% would know you took them. Would you still report it? I think it would more tempting to keep the money
Not mine, turn it in. Karma has a way of rewarding honesty.
Considering how this whole nation is stolen. I would have no qualms keeping that loot.
And his reward...."thanks".
I would turn in the 7k I found outside the bank..๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ˜‰
He can sleep well at night. He did the right thing.
Yes: without hesitation. I don't need that bad karma in my life for keeping in.
No, you wouldn't keep any of the money. You would either contact the police or the financial institution where the money came from and turn it back into them immediately. Honesty is the best policy to live by.
Nope. Never , off to Bermuda I go
yes i would, all of it
I'm not gonna lie. I would keep it.
Good for him/her but i wouldn't sorry
On comments here most people would return but in real life๐Ÿค— hmmmmm
He did the right thing...just think if it was your 27,000 would you want him to keep ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿพ♀️
He knew they were gonna find him on camera
More people need to do the right thing
Karma would the only reason I would turn it in.....lol
That’s the right thing to do.
Stop all the lies!!!!!! You know most of you would keep it if it actually happened to you.
I found 12$ dollars...tats it lol
Found a quarter and kept it
I would've kept at least 10gs
Lead us into temptation mmmmmm....
Nope that cash is going home with me lol
I D I O T! I would've kept every penny and hit Wal-Mart lol
Nop I don't, it doesn't belong to me I have to find the owner...
turning it back in is only right.
NO, NO, NO!!! Did I STUTTER?????
I think I just keep it to pay my bills
Take it to church, any church.
Too many cameras. Would definitely turn it in.
Finders keepers looser weepers ๐Ÿ˜
One word. Cameras.
This money keep finding good people ain't that something
Of course I'd turn it in, it's called integrity.
I always feel good when I return money... but that amount... it’ll take a whole lot of soul searching to return that, and I’m not religious! ๐Ÿ˜…
Finders keepers. Possession is 9/10 of the law. I’d keep it.
I would return it if i knew it would find it’s rightful owner. Not if it goes to the person i return it to
Think I would try to find the rightful owners myself first.
I don’t trust the banks/credit unions to make any effort to find the owner of the money.
I might drop the money off at my lawyers office and ask them to find the person who lost the money. …See More
NATURAL NOH THERE IS CCTV AROUND TOO
Today in street I found a cellphone dropped on the floor so I turned it to the owner
I knew a guy in the 1980's who dropped a bag on the street containing $10,000 and some marijuana. The money was from selling cocaine that he owed to his supplier. Of course he didn't go to the police.
As a true citizen... You should just take the money to a nearest police station๐Ÿ˜˜๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ
he is one of the 12 disciples in the bible
I keep it. If it doesn’t have a name it’s now mine
THERE YOU GO!!
IT'S HOW YOU'VE BEEN RAISED BY
YOUR PARENTS. AND NO WORTH OF MONEY CAN MATCH THAT !!…See More
It belongs to someone, not me.
BS on that. It was booby trap, who in the world leave that kind of money outside the bank? . Unless there was a robbery in the progress
Yes, but only because I know for certain there are cameras everywhere. If I could legit make away with $27,000 from a bank and I knew they couldn’t find me then hell yes I’m all over it. ๐Ÿ‘
THE BANK'S ARE RICH WITCH WOULDN'T HURT THEM AT ALL.... SORRY NOT SORRY BUT THAT KIND OF MONEY IS A LIFE CHANGING MOMENT....๐Ÿ’ฐ๐Ÿ’ฐ๐Ÿ ๐Ÿš™
I found 200 before. I paid a bill and my lights didnt get turned off...God is good!
It sounds tempting but with technology these day and cameras being literally everywhere , it makes more sense turning it in and not becoming a felon for something that wasn’t yours in the first place.
“Hi, I found twenty seven th........ twenty seven dollars in the parking lot, here you go”
One of my coworkers years ago withdrew some money from our Credit Union. As he walked out the door he realized the teller had given him too much, so he went back in the building to tell them they'd made a mistake. The teller cut him off saying "once yo…See More

Chico Dusty and Anthony Dale, our talk yesterday ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ
Me looking for the Credit Union!!
Must have been a republican because a democrat would have kept it and bought drugs!...just ask AP Wong and Richard Fine-Brison
Good for him and lucky them
Big mistake period!
Sorry my Morals would totally sellout!! ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚
Once when I was a teenager and I was travelling someone stole my $200 in my bag. I started crying because that is all the money I had. Later in life I had lost 100s of thousands of dollars that I earned and I do not even remember when I lost it in busi…See More
I WILL HAND IT OVER TO TRUMP'S CAMPAIGN SO AS TO GET HIM ELECTED AGAIN๐Ÿ‘Œ
Probably a proud, Christian, Conservative Republican!
I wouldn't turn it over to the bank, I'd turn it over to the cops and get a report number so there is proof that it was turned over.
I found a business check written out to someone (2500 USD), and when I went to the business to return the check, they treated me like I had stolen the check. I'd rather have a neutral 3rd party (cops) mediate this transaction so there are witnesses.
No. Such bad karma.
I am sure that the Credit Union has cameras. So if you decided to keep the money your face would be on the camera. You could be arrested for stealing the money.
Honestly pays off.
The karma points will be worth it.
I'd return it. But most of those who watch CNN religiously would run like hell. People without a conscience do that sort of thing.
When yo find something like that on the ground, better ignore it and move along. You dont want to near the kind of ppl who could drop that :) In this case this was ATM money, but better safe than beheaded by the cartel.
Its nice to know there are still some honest people in this country.
That’s nice of him, I’ll be honest I’d keep it
"Here's your $50 Cheesecake Factory gift card reward, enjoy!"... Friggin cameras are to blame lol.
You bet!
Oh wow u report good stuff trying to clean up your image not good enough. Need reperations for all the lies u told for how long now!!
God works in mysterious ways and blessing us differently ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿคฉ๐Ÿคฉ
#AnsweredPrayer
#IDidNotSteal
I will turned it in. It is not yours to keep.
If it's a lot of money, I'll definitely contribute to Donald Trump bank Account, because I am a loyal Republican.
THANK YOU POTUS!!! ALL OF US REAL AMERICANS LOVE YOU!!!

It was one of my cruise destinations, very scary!!!! Would never choose to return.
It is obvious that Boeing has placed corporate greed and profits before safety. When Boeing's previous CEO was fired over the 737 Max crisis, he still walked with $60 million. Boeing employees have been held hostage to keep building the 737 Max planes …See More
This issue is completely correctable, it’s a plane, it’s not falling apart in the air, it’s a software issue. Computers crash and sensors die, this will be fixed. Don’t forget people’s jobs are at risk here. Fix the issue and move on !!
Since the topic is very sensitive, I just wanna add something else so I can spare you going to the doc for a quick check. Although u don’t feel sick or u don’t show any of the symptoms, start drinking at least half a gallon, I also recommend 10 8-ounces glasses. Don’t forget the immunostimulants as well. Sounds basic, but usually the simple things benefit to ur health
Just like Chernobyl, all these can be controlled early on but the Chinese officials chose to cover it up. This massive outbreak not only due to biological (virus mutation), but also cultural (eating illegal wildlife animals) and political reasons. The infected count must be way higher than the official one announced, as the city is now locked down.
